A visit from a representative of Colonial Williamsburg in late 1997 inspired this delightful line of Carolers. Byers’ Choice has always wanted to capture a
sense of Americana in our figurines, and this line has given us the perfect opportunity. With painstaking research on the fashions and customs of our
young nation and ever-careful attention to detail, the Colonial line was launched during a Byers’ Choice/Colonial Williamsburg event in June of 1998.
Most importantly, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of these new figurines--which include a man clothed in a traditional waistcoat and tricorn hat,
a woman dressed in petticoat, gown and cap, a boy with a wooden flute, and a girl with a hoop and a stick--is donated to the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation
for restoration. |
