Already in 1934 the Walter Schneider Company was founded at the edge of the Thuringian Forest, which is the center of the toy industry for many years. The dolls which are produced at the Schneider Company are traditionally made by hand with special care - also in cooperation with famous artists. Today the company is the largest European manufacturer of costume dolls. Dresses are sewn out of materials as for example cotton or brocade. Dolls are dressed and decorated according to the individual variety of each traditional costume. In this way SCHNEIDER dolls are given the characteristics of each traditional costume and become valuable pieces of collections for collectors all over the world.
