Merck Family's Old World Christmas Storybook Santas
The charming little storybook Santas created by Old World Christmas are fashioned after the tiny bisque Santas that were produced in Germany during the 1920’s and 1930’s. These adorable miniature figures added charm and a special magic to family celebrations. In the early part of the twentieth century they were used to create frosty winter scenes on holiday tables, fireplace mantels, and under Christmas trees that adorned parlor tables. Creative homemakers frequently used these whimsical little characters as cake decorations on their holiday cakes, puddings, and gingerbread. Guests invited to very special parties were even allowed to take one of these treasures home as a memento of the festivities. Old World Christmas presented this exciting collection in 1994. Storybook Santas are now retired, and no longer being produced.
Each Santa is new, and comes in a special
Storybook box with booklet.
