Hannukkah, or Chanukah, is an eight day Jewish holiday, which commemorates the rededication
of the Temple of Jerusalem after it was desecrated by Antiochus IV forces. Traditionally, the holiday is observed by lighting a candle in a Menorah each
night for 8 nights, signifying the "miracle of the container of oil", when after Maccabees victory there was only enough oil to fuel the Temple flame for
one day, yet miraculously the oil burned for eight days.
