Mother's Day, a holiday celebrated the second Sunday in May, is a day to celebrate and appreciate our mother. Around the world, many countries celebrate a form of Mother's Day, although the dates differ greatly from country to country. Ann Jarvis is credited with trademarking the phrase "Mother's Day" in 1912, and she specified that this was a day for each family to honor their mother.
